Washington

I was born and raised in Washington. We currently live in the greater Seattle area. Summers are amazing. I often say you can’t beat Seattle summers. It’s sunny, but not too hot so you can still enjoy outside activities and stays pretty green. Plus, what’s not to love about Lake Washington?! Summer boating is definitely one of our favorite activities! Fall in WA is great too. Usually a bit chilly but still sunny. If the leaves change before the rain arrives it’s gorgeous.

However, you can’t think of Seattle without thinking of RAIN. The winters can be cold and dreary. I love when we get snow, but usually it’s just rain. And more Rain. And more rain! So. Much. Rain. Spring is beautiful with all the flowers, but often we get teased with nice sunny weather and then the rain comes back. Summer doesn’t usually arrive until after the 4th of July.

We are lucky that we get all 4 seasons and our winters are mild enough that we can still do a lot of outside exploring. Plus we have mountains for skiing, lakes for swimming & boating, the ocean, San Juans and so much more. We definitely have lots more of our state to explore!
