Hi! I’m Megan! I’m a wife and mom and I love to travel. When we had kids most people expected that travel would be limited or put on hold. That may be true to some degree and travel looks different than pre-kids, but we wanted to instill a love of travel in our girls. I think it’s important for them to realize the world is a big place full of amazing people and places and what better way to learn that than by exploring new places and meeting new people first hand. There are so many places we still have to discover, but we hope you enjoy the places we’ve been and this blog can help inspire or help plan future adventures.

Our Family: We are a family of five. Myself, my husband Jordan and our 3 girls. The youngest was born spring 2020 amidst the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. Currently our big travel plans have been a bit on hold – partially as we adjust to three kids, but mostly due to the Coronavirus. We are hoping to do some more local exploring for the foreseeable future.

Is traveling with kids easy? No, not always. However, is parenting kids at home easy, no not always! I once heard the phrase “traveling with kids is no longer a relaxing vacation; it’s a fun family adventure!” It’s spot on. Vacations may not be as relaxing, but if you keep an open mind, have realistic expectations and love travel I’m sure you can find a new kind of adventure.

One of my favorite things about traveling with kids is it provides you with a more “local” experience. We spend more time stopping at playgrounds or picnicking in a park. We’ve met other families at playgrounds and they’ve given us great tips or places to go see with our kids. I like these types of experiences much more than big cities filled with tourists. Traveling with kids means slowing down and absorbing the little details such as smelling the flowers or examining the rocks. These small details put an entire new perspective on things that would often times be overlooked.

So, here’s to the next adventure… whether it’s at home in your town or abroad in another country!
